Tsunagi - Fourfold Bond

The sculptures of the Tsunagi series are born from the encounter between fragments of Western Raku ceramics and delicate brass stitches. This contemporary American technique, known for its intense thermal shock and carbonized textures, transforms the unpredictability of fire into poetry.

Each piece is a “stitched molecule”—a small universe of fragility, resilience, and harmony. These molecules evoke a universe of possibilities: the invisible taking form through the bold, iridescent uniqueness of Raku. Brass becomes a bridge of light that connects the elements, tracing new relationships and giving rise to new forms.
